Elizabeth & Caroline, mom-daughter duo & Marietta locals for 30+ years, felt the Square craved an independent bookstore.

Elizabeth's mother filled her childhood with stories, and Elizabeth carried that on to Caroline, along with a cherished family tradition of collecting elephants (symbolizing luck, wisdom, & protection), which inspired the Reading Attic’s logo.
